Is soak-off builder gel bad for your nails?
When applied and removed professionally, builder gel can protect natural nails by creating a hard and strong surface.
Natural nail damage typically only occurs through improper application and removal, such as excessive filing. However, some builder gel formulas can also contain chemical ingredients that are known allergens, resulting in mild skin irritation and allergic reactions - especially if they’re used improperly and come into contact with skin.
This includes compounds like HEMA (Hydroxyethyl Methacrylate), TPO (Trimethylbenzoyl Diphenylphosphine Oxide), and DMPT (N,N-Dimethyl-p-toluidine).
To help avoid potential adverse effects of soak-off builder gel on the nails, we therefore recommend using formulas that are free from HEMA, TPO, and DMPT.
For your peace of mind, CJP’s range of easy soak-off builder gel doesn’t contain any of these potentially harmful chemicals linked to skin irritation.
